    Oatmeal is a breakfast powerhouse! Healthy, filling, and cheap, there are many variations so it never gets boring. Making oatmeal from scratch is cheaper than oatmeal packets and boxed cereal and often uses less sugar. We include directions for apple cinnamon oatmeal too!

  • Morning Glory Muffins

    These are about as nutritious as a muffin can get! Made with whole wheat flour, apples, carrots, and walnuts, they will fill you up and give you energy that lasts. A perfect breakfast for on the go or after school snack.

    Eat your greens and love them too with this simple smoothie! Its color gives it a major wow factor, while its ingredients provide many important vitamins and minerals.

    These patties are great in a wrap, on a salad, or served with your favorite condiment or dressing. Or even just plain! They are reminiscent of a potato pancake and go well with breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    In a past program, students brought Doritos to class and said they wanted to learn to make them. Our counter offer? How about we make healthy greens taste cheesy, savory and delicious instead! It can be hard to believe that kids will gobble down kale, but with this recipe they will.

    This is a delicious, fast, and easy dish that typically costs under $10 to make a big batch. Enjoy it over brown rice or with naan bread. It is similar to chili, but made with aromatic Indian spices and kidney beans.
